The Concept

Navigate a volatile sector of deep space as a firery sun. Your objective is to collect Green Energy Orbs to stabilize your core. However, every point gained draws more Blue Ice Asteroids into your flight path. Survival is a game of scaling difficulty and split-second reflexes. Dont forget to jump :D

The Limitation: Ridiculously Overpowered

The core of this experience is the Gold Orb. When you intercept a Gold Orb, the game's balance is completely discarded.

  • Colossal Form: Your orb expands to 500% size, dominating the playfield.
  • Unstoppable Force: Asteroids no longer represent a threat; they become fodder for bonus points.
  • Hyper-Scoring: Use this state to aggressively clear obstacles and rack up score multipliers, but be ready for the Blue Ice Astroids.
  • Scaling Difficulty: The levels also get Ridiculously Overpowered as you score.

Development

This project was an experiment in code-only rendering.  The galaxy dust, the core lighting, and the procedural scrolling world are generated in real-time. This is my second venture into Godot, and first Godot browser-based 3D.
